Canvas Work: An embroidery style that uses even weave fabric and the stitches are counted to conform to the ground.

This embroidery style can be found almost everywhere. It is known by many different names and a wide variety of stitches. Canvas work has many different uses and applications.

This was inspired by Elizabethan embroideries. I found the cushionwork, also done in tent stitch, and the bed hangings fascinating. So, I decided to complete one.
